In close cooperation with selected partners we have developed a high-precision book scanner within the framework of the guidelines of the Europeana project . Book scanner that uses the latest matrix sensor technology to take into account the special conservation requirements of sensitive historical collections such as precious illuminated manuscripts or incunabula and at the same time guarantees high flexibility, productivity and user-friendliness.

Thanks to the parallel use of two high-resolution area sensors in combination with high-quality optics , the book2net Cobra achieves an unrivaled quality . Precious old books deserve special attention in order to show their beauty in their true light. Uneven and waved surfaces, special inks and paints – especially gold coatings, require more than standard lighting. For these special requirements, the book2net Cobra book scanner is equipped with an additional lighting system for the glare-free and shadow-free capturing of structured surfaces, a system that can be externally integrated, mounted or controlled. The LED lighting system offers a stable color temperature for perfect reproduction. Thanks to the Fresnel lenses , even illumination over the entire scan area is guaranteed.
